We were contacted in the summer by Jane, shortly after Kaley proposed, and just before they left on a trip to Africa. We followed their adventures on their blog at over the summer with great interest as a trip to Africa is one of the things that is on my bucket list.
Jane & Kaley arrived back from Africa in September and we had a short turn around time to photograph their engagement session and get all of the details ready for their urban Toronto wedding planned for October. It turned out to be an awesome day and both Shiri and I had an absolute ball working with them.
There is a lot of connection to the Renwick family as we photographed Katie & Justin’s wedding in 2009. It was great fun to see all of the Renwick family again and to make new friends with Kaley’s family as well. Also, Shiri (our fabulous associate with NightinGail Photography) photographed Jane’s friends, Adrianne & Dwight earlier this year. Jane had been really impressed with Shiri’s work at Adrianne’s wedding and so there was only one choice for Shiri to be the primary photographter for Jane & Kaley’s wedding. For me, it was a first to second shoot at one of our weddings — and it was a lot of fun.
We both started out at Jane’s bridal prep at sister, Trish’s, in downtown Toronto and then I took a stroll over to Jane & Kaley’s home to meet up with Kaley and the boys. Then it was back over to Trish’s for the “First Look.” Jane & Kaley were really into having photos taken in their neighbourhood streets, alleys and ending up at Riverdale Farm for the family photos. Then it was off to “The Fifth” for their ceremony and reception.
So .. here are just a few of my favourite images from the first part of their day.

There are so many more images of Jane & Kaley’s fabulous wedding day.. be patient.. your gallery will be available shortly!
Congratulations again, Jane & Kaley! And thank you for choosing NightinGail Photography to be a part of your fabulous urban wedding day!
