{Toronto, ON} Jamie’s Urban Portrait Session

I had the opportunity yesterday to go out and spend the afternoon with my niece, Jamie.  We had been chatting last week and she really wanted to get some urban photos done (meaning something with the graffitti walls) and since Jane & Kale’s wedding, I knew EXACTLY where we were going to go.

It was a beautiful afternoon to be outside and here are just a few of my favs from the afternoon.

We were also joined by her two cousins and my nieces.  After a great girls’ afternoon of fun, we went off for a nice hot chocolate.  All in all, a great afternoon.

Stephanie & Scott’s Baby Bump – Barrie, ON

First, a big congratulations for my clients (and friends), Stephanie & Scott Moynihan!  They are expecting their brand-new baby girl in early January.  We photographed their fabulous wedding last year and quickly have become fast friends.  It’s always exciting to get together with them for tea and just hang out.  And who else would they select to photograph their baby bump session but NightinGail Photography.

Here are just a few of my favourites from their session .. and we just had to have their furry child, Vader, as part of the portraits!

We really congratulate you both as you anxiously await the arrival of your new addition to the family.

Maternity sessions really document the start of a new phase of families so don’t hesitate to contact us to book your’s today.

Nashville Wedding Photographers | Lane Photography - Loving the pics with the purple wrap. What is that, I want one for our studio.

{Cabbagetown, Toronto, ON} Sneak Peeks for Jane & Kaley’s Urban Wedding

We were contacted in the summer by Jane, shortly after Kaley proposed, and just before they left on a trip to Africa.  We followed their adventures on their blog at over the summer with great interest as a trip to Africa is one of the things that is on my bucket list.

Jane & Kaley arrived back from Africa in September and we had a short turn around time to photograph their engagement session and get all of the details ready for their urban Toronto wedding planned for October.   It turned out to be an awesome day and both Shiri and I had an absolute ball working with them.

There is a lot of connection to the Renwick family as we photographed Katie & Justin’s wedding in 2009.  It was great fun to see all of the Renwick family again and to make new friends with Kaley’s family as well.  Also, Shiri (our fabulous associate with NightinGail Photography) photographed Jane’s friends, Adrianne & Dwight earlier this year.  Jane had been really impressed with Shiri’s work at Adrianne’s wedding and so there was only one choice for Shiri to be the primary photographter for Jane & Kaley’s wedding.   For me, it was a first to second shoot at one of our weddings — and it was a lot of fun.

We both started out at Jane’s bridal prep at sister, Trish’s, in downtown Toronto and then I took a stroll over to Jane & Kaley’s home to meet up with Kaley and the boys.  Then it was back over to Trish’s for the “First Look.”   Jane & Kaley were really into having photos taken in their neighbourhood streets, alleys and ending up at Riverdale Farm for the family photos.  Then it was off to “The Fifth” for their ceremony and reception.

So .. here are just a few of my favourite images from the first part of their day.

There are so many more images of Jane & Kaley’s fabulous wedding day.. be patient.. your gallery will be available shortly!

Congratulations again, Jane & Kaley! And thank you for choosing NightinGail Photography to be a part of your fabulous urban wedding day!

Grand Rapids Wedding Photographers - Love the photos in the city!

Fleur - A lovely collection of images, I particularly like the graffiti backgrounds – very unusual.

{Barrie, Ontario} Sneak Peeks for Cindy & Chris

I first met Cindy & Chris at the one and only bridal show that I have ever done at the Monte Carlo Inn.  I liked them at once; however, they weren’t ready to book a photographer at that time so when they contacted me some months later, I was really happy to get together at their home, meet their furry children and discuss their upcoming wedding plans.

Both Cindy and Chris are a lot of fun and BIG Toronto Maple Leafs fans (like me!) so they brought along props for their engagement session which we shot recently at Sunnydale Park in Barrie, ON.  This is one of the most popular locations for engagement photos and the day that we were there — we saw about six other couples and their photographers shooting their engagement sessions too!  It was a wonderful September day and here are just a few of my favs from their recent engagement session.

Congratulations, Cindy & Chris — we cannot wait to photograph your fabulous New Year’s Eve wedding!

Michael Strong - Mississippi Wedding Photographer - They obviously have one thing in common from the hat photo!!!

Bill Baker - Sweet pictures. A very natural feeling with a great couple.

{Guelph, Ontario} Arboretium e-Session for Stephanie & Patrick

We were introduced to Stephanie & Patrick after they booked one of our favourite venues – Belcroft Estates – for their September 2011 wedding.

They both love animals and wanted their furry child, Dezi, to be a part of their engagement session. Since they both attend the University of Guelph (and I love to travel), they wanted to have their engagement session where Patrick had proposed to Stephanie at the Arboretium. It was a beautiful fall afternoon and we just got outside and had fun.

Here are just a few of my favourites from their session.

Congratulations again, Stephanie & Patrick!

Michael Strong - Mississippi Wedding Photographer - I love their whippet! or maybe it’s a grey hound. Either way, great fun!

Ruth Silver - Beautiful engagement session! I love all the fall colors and they brought their dog along. Great work!

{Cobourg, Ontario e-Session} with Georgianna & Adam’s Love Story

I first met Georgianna earlier this year at Cindy & Frank Barrett’s wedding! Georgianna was one of the bridesmaids and just so full of fun that when she told me that she and Adam were planning their wedding for 2011, I just knew that they were the clients for us!

Adam contacted me through our Facebook page as he was “in charge” of the photography. We had a number of discussions and set up a time for our complimentary in-home consultation with them. After meeting Adam — I was REALLY sure that they were the clients for NightinGail Photography.

I met them at their home on a beautiful but windy Sunday morning to head out for their e-session. They wanted some fun and interesting locations so we started out at the park in Cobourg (where I paid for parking — which wasn’t necessary according to this nice couple who told us that after Thanksgiving, we could park for free!) So we had a good laugh and started out. After the beach and park, we walked around downtown Cobourg for some interesting urban shots. I had really forgotten how lovely Cobourg is in the fall.

We had a blast and here are just a few of my favs from their session with us!

Do you want an engagement session that EXACTLY expresses who you are? If so, give us a call today to book your e-session! The first three couples who book us for a session in December receive a 15% discount on our regular session fee!
