First, we would like to say a Big Thanks to the staff at The Wedding Ring who promoted our TTD session through their website during April and May. We had a lot of great entries and I personally want to thank Jenn for making the draw on May 27, 2011.

Our lucky winner was Berrin and when I contacted her, she was just estatic. Her wedding is planned for May 2012 in a tropical destination so we will be meeting with her and her husband, Edwin, after that date. I asked her to send along a photo and permission to share her story with you. So…

Just like every other girl I have been dreaming of my wedding since I was a little girl. And when my BF proposed I was on cloud nine and instantly started planning my wedding. I have always had an idea of what I wanted and with the help of my family it would be doable. However within the last couple months we have had alot of family problems, my sister is going through a separation and now no one is overly joyed about our wedding. No one helps to make plans with us, wants to look at dresses with me, then last month my dad had suffered a mild heart attack and had to go through triple bypass surgery. Because of the other factors we are determined to pay for everything our selves, I work a full time job and part time job and he works over time almost every day. I think it would be amazing for this experience to win this contest. I always look at trash the dress pics and they look amazing however I don’t know if now it is something that is within our budget.

This is so exciting you made my whole month!!!

My fiancee name is Edwin Calles. We met when we were around 21. I think in college at Fanshawe when I first met him. I thought he was really cute; but I could always see him watching me so it was a little creepy at first. We dated for about three years and then broke up for about a year and a half and then got back together 2 years ago

For the last year we have been talking about getting married and last year he would say “by the end of the year” so for every occasion (Christmas, birthdays, Valentines Day) I would get sooo excited..and no proposal!

We went to Mexico and I thought for sure that’s what would happen and it did not. For his 27th birthday I decided we should go to Niagara for a change of scenery. We went with my friend and one of his friends. The closer we got to Niagara, the more anxious he got and nervous. He kept saying that we have to go to the Falls and I was being my bratty self and didn’t know why we had to go. It was so cold out and we had dinner reservations. He told me that he promised his grandma he would take a pic at the falls for her. That didn’t make any sense at all to me but we went and when we got there (Edwin isn’t smooth with words) asked me if I wanted to come back again;…then he got down on one knee and asked me if I would marry him.

It was the best day ever, the best weekend — I love him soo much –it’s a dream come true. He makes me feel so loved and I couldn’t ever ask for a better man. It’s an amazing feeling to know that there is always someone there for me who loves me unconditionally no matter how silly I act.

It was a beautiful day in Couchiching Park in Orillia, Ontario and it was time for Dani’s “Trash the Dress” session. Dani was one of our two for one sessions and today was the first time that we had met!! She is a wonderful girl who was game for anything so with the help of my able assistant and husband, Don, off we went for her session. Turns out that the waterfront was very busy as there is a Poker Run with the cigarboats tomorrow so we took a little advantage (with permission of the boat owner).

Our new title for our Trash the Dress sessions is going to be “It’s Wreckin’ Time!”.. so here’s a few of our favs from this afternoon…

We had an absolutely wonderful time “celebrating the dress” and Jennifer had so much fun (and the dress survived beautifully after the dip in the lake — took 2 days to dry!) that she wants to do it again!

Here’s a few of my favourites from our 2007 Trash the Dress session featuring Jeff & Colleen. We had a blast running up the highway to the various locations, getting “honked” at by cars passing by (you’d think they’d just gotten married!!!) and getting the “evil” eye from a local OPP officer when we were at the abandonned gas station. All in all — great fun.

We love to do these sessions and the pricing is regularly $450 plus taxes which includes an hour and a half of photography, an on-line ordering gallery and a 5×7 “Brag” book with 20 5×7 photos. Our September booking special for TTD sessions is $275. Call us today to ensure your space.
