Well, it has been a very busy summer and I’ve had lots of fun spending time with my family. This past week, I went to Canada’s Wonderland with three of my sisters, Lois, Joan and Sharon along with three of my nieces, Brooklyn, Stacy and Jaime. It was lots of fun for us just spending time together.

We had planned a small family weekend at the lake and wouldn’t you know that it turned out to be the coldest weekend of the summer so far. It poured rain for both days but we did get an hour to go out on the lake in the boat.

Our daughter, Jenn, and grandson, Lincoln, had been looking forward to this weekend all summer. Lincoln also got to meet his Aunt ‘Ois (Lois) for the first time and was absolutely enthralled with her. “pay with me” “pay with me” was the refrain of the day once she arrived until she left!

Lincoln was so excited about spending time with “Poppa Don” and wanted to do everything that Poppa Don did. He helped him build a fire by crumpling up the paper, went swimming and got very upset that Poppa Don swam so far away (he has no fear and just jumped off the dock into Gramma’s arms without a second thought), did some reading with Poppa and the highlight of Lincoln’s weekend was driving Poppa Don’s boat.

It’s such a thrill to see how Poppa Don and Lincoln love each other. So without further ado, some quick images from my P&S camera taken by people other than me…

Of course there was lots of playtime with everyone and especially with Leo (who just wanted to lick Lincoln all the time.)

Poppa Don also likes to read the real estate magazines and Lincoln was showing the house that he liked.. what else do you do when it’s raining!

Now time to get back to work with many weddings, engagements and family portrait sessions to finish; albums to design and other fabulous photography ideas.

Florida.. here we come. The bags are packed and in the car, Leo (our furry child) has all his paperwork and his bed in the back, and Don is getting anxious to get on the road. It’s a fast trip because we have lots to do in a very short time.

So we wish everyone a “Happy May 24 Weekend”.. have lots of fun and drive carefully.

When I get back.. a photography seminar, three wedding consultations for 2009-2010, dinner with my friend, Rosemary, wedding on Saturday and engagement session in Mississauga on Sunday. A VERY VERY busy week…
