A big Thank You to Melanie & Ross for allowing NightinGailPhotography to photograph their “baby bump” – otherwise known as “SHIM” – recently at Sunnydale Park in Barrie. Of course, it happened to be one of the strangest weather days – sun, wind, downpour rain — but it worked out beautifully. Ross & Melanie are fabulous to photograph and so easy to work with. Thanks guys!
There’s a bit of a story about how Ross and I reconnected later in the blog so enjoy the images and read the story afterwards.

And now the story … I was reading my friend’s Facebook page (Heather) and saw a post from Melanie DeCoste Harbridge.. she was chatting about moving to Barrie with her husband, Ross. I thought — this cannot be the Ross Harbridge that I know so I went and looked at her album and sure enough — it was Ross! So I posted a “say hello to Ross” on her page. Melanie then came back with “You know Ross?” And the answer to that was “yes”. We’d met years ago and became friends when we attended People’s Church in Toronto and as these things sometimes happen, lost touch. Maybe the “Six Degrees of Separation” really do make a difference.
To make a long story short, I have made a wonderful new friend in Melanie, and am thrilled to have both of them living in Barrie (and now about 5 minutes from us by car). They have entrusted NightinGail Photography to photograph this special moment in their lives and I am absolutely thrilled.
Now.. comon’ Shim… we’re waiting for you so that we can do your first photos with Ross’ little blue shoes!
